Formed back in 1989 by vocalist and bassist Johnny Hedlund, UNLEASHED have been delivering supreme death metal in the sign of their Viking ancestors from day one!
Pioneers in the Swedish death metal movement for over 33 years, UNLEASHED are a steady, reliable presence when it comes to their output. With the release of their latest 14th full-length studio album “No Sign of Life” on November 2021, band deliver another work of sheer brutality. Johnny Hedlund and his legions of Asgard once again successfully manage to transfer Viking values and traditions into modernity and forge another uncompromising musical weapon.
The rage paves its way straight from the first notes of the album opener “The King Lost His Crown” and leaves no time to breathe during the entire playing time. The whole album unfolds as an unstoppable war battalion and builds up on UNLEASHED’s well established trademark sounds and lyrics about Viking culture, recollection of a pre-Christian world, and Norse folklore.
